Introduction

The ISBC conference will be held at UIUC (See Location & Housing). Many people will come from all over the world. Some live close enough to drive to the site, but others will take an airplane. In the past, they chose their own airport according to their plan. Listing a few, the airports were O’Hare International (ORD). John F. Kennedy International (JFK), Newark Liberty International (EWR), Washington Dulles International (IAD), Los Angeles International (LAX), and Toronto Pearson International (YYZ). Please refer to the IATA for the three-digit airport code. We have chosen ORD as the primary airport because it is the closest to UIUC. We will provide a ride for anyone who arrives at ORD (last airport if multiple stops) and needs a ride to the conference. We do the same for those who return to ORD after the conference (first airport if multiple stops).

If you use any airport other than ORD as the final airport for arrival, you are responsible for a ride to UIUC. Likewise, if you use any airport other than ORD as your first airport for departure, you are responsible for a ride to the airport from UIUC after the conference. At the same time, you have an opportunity to enter your arrival and departure information by airplane during registration. When you enter your travel information, it will be shared with the senior pastor or leaders at the nearest church as much as possible. If they are ready to help you with a ride, you will be contacted. You start a conversation with them. It is your responsibility to confirm your ride for both arrival and departure. You may even ask for room and board if necessary.

Transportation from ORD to UIUC

Transportation will be provided for any participants traveling through O'Hare International airport (ORD). Coach buses will transport them from ORD to the State Farm Center (SFC) at UIUC.  The Transportation Team chose a seating area near Door 4 of the Bus/Shuttle Center at ORD as a hub for providing a ride to UIUC. The Bus/Shuttle Center is located at Level 1 of the Main Parking Garage between Elevator Centers 3 and 4. Please see the map below for its location. If you arrive at Terminal 5, please look for a sign for Airport Transit System (ATS). First, you take a train and go to Terminal 2. If your airplane arrives at Terminal 1, 2 or 3, please look for the sign or direction to the Bus/Shuttle Center. The sign is the same as the one on the map. When you arrive there, the Transportation Team will greet you. You will stay there until enough people gather to fill a bus. Then the bus will leave for UIUC. Transportation from UIUC to ORD

We will also provide a return trip from UIUC to ORD after the conference ends on Sunday, August 6, 2023. Our current plan is to prepare Coach buses at the State Farm Center and take you to ORD. The details will be posted at the UBF office near the end of the conference. **Note: The coach bus takes about 3 hours from UIUC to ORD. Please factor this in when selecting a departure flight time.

Is there any charge for the coach bus?
No, UBF is providing this as a complementary service.
Is the transportation for both domestic and international travelers?
Yes, it is for both domestic & international travelers arriving at O'Hare (ORD).
When is the last bus leaving ORD?
The last bus leaves on Thursday, August 3rd at noon (12pm). Those who arrive later and look for help should communicate with Paul Kim, Transportation Team Manager.
What is the coach bus schedule from ORD to UIUC?
Buses will bring guests from ORD to UIUC from Monday to Thursday. The departure time of each bus depends on the number of people arriving each day. We encourage you enter your arrival information accurately during the registration.
How can I get to the Bus/Shuttle Center when I arrive at O’Hare airport?
Please refer to the map above. It is located at level 1 of the Main Parking Garage between Elevator Centers 3 and 4. Please, look for a sign in your area that points to the Bus/Shuttle Center and follow it.
Where do I catch the coach bus at ORD?
Please proceed to the Shuttle Bus Center at ORD using the airport tram if necessary. We will have a UBF welcome team stationed at the Shuttle Bus Center. 
What if I arrive at ORD later than the last bus on Thursday?
If you miss the last bus, please make your own arrangements for transportation to UIUC.
Where will I get dropped off at UIUC?
Coach buses will drop off attendants at the State Farm Center to check in to conference. People will need to walk to dorms, except those staying at the Pennsylvania Avenue Residence (PAR) halls. For those staying in PAR residence halls, a passenger van service will transport those who do not have their own car. 
What if I arrive earlier than Thursday at ORD?
Coach buses will begin transporting attendants to UIUC on Monday, July 31, 2023. 
Will transportation be provided if I am attending the Missionary Shepherd Conference from August 1-3, 2023?
Yes, MSC attendants will be provided a coach bus ride to UIUC. 
Where do I catch the coach bus at UIUC to return to ORD?
Coach buses will pick up passengers at the State Farm Center. 
What if I arrive after the last bus on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday before ISBC?
The hosting team will provide overnight housing near the Chicago center and get you to the next bus leaving the following day.
What if I need to catch a return flight home from ORD before ISBC ends on Sunday?
You will need to make your own arrangements for transportation to ORD. Coach buses will leave from UIUC at 2pm on Sunday and expect to arrive at ORD around 5pm (estimate). Please select flights based on this information. 
Where do I park if I am driving to the conference?
UBF Parking is located at the State Farm Center (Northwest lot & Southwest lot) and Lot F23 near (Kirby/Florida Ave & Lincoln Ave) which is nearby the Pennsylvania Avenue Residence dorms (PAR). It is recommended that those staying in the PAR Dorms drive to the State Farm Center for the general sessions. There is no charge to park at the above listed parking lots.
